Develop and Maintain Volunteers, Part I

July 21, 2010 7:45am – 10:30am

In response to the economic climate, government and business are issuing new calls to serve, and putting funds behind these initiatives. Many nonprofit groups are wondering whether they can absorb an influx of volunteers and if they are prepared to keep their volunteers happy and committed. This panel-format workshop will present different local viewpoints and experiences to help nonprofit Board and staff members understand the roles of volunteers and the best ways to maintain their enthusiasm and the enormous help they provide to the work of nonprofit organizations.

Panelists include:

  • Lorraine Meuleners of Volunteer Center of Solano County
  • Joseph Muehlbauer of Valero Refining Company
  • Anne Marie Fagge of AmeriCorps VISTA Member at CAP Solano
  • Rochelle Sherlock, Consultant
  • Stephanie Wolf of Solano Community Foundation

This workshop is three of four Nonprofit Partnership Program Breakfast Mixers, featuring a panel of guests. Breakfast Mixer is from 7:45-9 a.m., with workshop immediately following.

Workshop is for Nonprofit Partnership Program members only.
