After the frenzy and chaos of a devastating fire disaster like this one passes, the long road to recovery and rebuilding begins—and it is here that philanthropy can play a distinct and critical role.

With our existing relationships with local nonprofits, government officials, and community leaders, SCF as a community foundation, is in the best position to hold funds, make grants, and support our communities.

There will be many nonprofits supporting fire victims directly. And, many nonprofits themselves have been impacted by the fires and may need rebuilding help.
This fund will not support individuals with cash grants, but it will fund the nonprofits that are providing direct services. To this end, SCF is accepting donations to help in relief efforts. We will distribute response grants to local nonprofits to help them address the mid- to long-term needs of their communities.
Grants from the Solano Disaster Relief Fund will focus on those organizations providing relief and recovery services to Solano County residents, specifically for medical care, counseling, temporary shelter and meals to the individuals and families affected by the fires in Solano and Napa counties.
