GRANTS FROM DONORS’ FUNDS
The Fund holders at the Foundation make grants to qualified nonprofit organizations whose missions and activities match their philanthropic interests and are working on causes close to their hearts. These grants span many different program areas, including arts and culture, education, health and social services, animal care, the environment, veterans, senior services, and community development.
Donors also make scholarships available to students. The donors are very specific about the eligibility requirements and these are listed in our Fund List. Some scholarships go to students who are attending pre-secondary Solano County schools and others are awarded to graduating seniors who plan to attend institutions of higher education or specialized training.
Our donors generally know precisely which organizations and program areas they wish to support and they make grants through the Foundation to those groups. However, as a service to both our donors and the grantseeking public, we periodically provide our donors with summaries of requests we receive. If a donor finds any of these requests of interest, we open a dialogue between the organization and the donor (or we act as liaison). If a donor is interested, we will contact you for more information.
If you wish to alert our donors of your program and needs, please send a one or two-page summary letter to Stephanie Wolf, President and CEO of the Foundation. Please do not go directly to the donors.
