Dedicated to finding treatments and cures for Batten disease, BDSRA funds research, provides family support, advances education, and advocates for legislative action. Founded by parents in 1987, it is now the largest Batten disease organization in North America.

Founded by and for first responders, the 10-33 Foundation offers education and crisis response services to help public safety professionals, and their families lead healthier lives. Their name reflects both the police “10-33” distress code and the Good Samaritan parable (Luke 10:33), underscoring their mission of compassion in action. American Legion Rago-Christopher Post 165
Serving veterans and the community since 1919, Post 165 honors the memory of Vacaville’s WWI heroes and supports service members through camaraderie, advocacy, and events. The post is named after Frank H. Rago and William Ellis Christopher, two of Vacaville’s first casualties in the “Great War”(WWII); they are two of the four names commemorated in the base of the Vacaville Veteran's Memorial Building’s Flagpole.
